I hope so too Kathryn. Joseph is a name I will start with and go from there. He was her dad, so I have a good idea when he was born/
Thank you very much for youe help.

hey, you really may be in luck -- I just did a blanket search for D'Cruz at FIBIS and it brought up the most returns I've ever seen for a surname!

You're going to get a start that may keep you busy for a few weeks just trying to sort them out, I'm afraid. Given names will narrow it down a bit, hopefully. ;)

Kathryn, thank you very much for that . It will help my daughter and I to really start on the D'Cruz part of the family.

Hi Angela --

Families in British India Society
http://www.search.fibis.org/frontis/bin/aps_advanced_search.php

The British Library
http://www.bl.uk/collections/oiocfamilyhistory/family.html

the Mormons
http://www.familysearch.org
(I'd try both the IGI and the pedigree files)

All are hit and miss, and I think your dates are a little late for FIBIS at present, e.g., but one never knows unless one searches!

I was wanting some advice about looking for records in India. My 1st husbands mum was born in Lahore in 1925, her parents were either Anglo Indian or Goanese, she gets a bit confused when we talk to her. So advice would be great. Many thanks
