Searching before the 1841 Census

Have you tried the FamilySearch site - there's some pre-1841 parish records on there (although it's not comprehensive).

Otherwise you could try putting "parish records" and the name of where you're looking for into a search engine - there are some sites around where people have transcribed them. Sometimes there are online parish clerks for various counties.

You could also try searching the church records of the relevent churches in the area you're looking for but it depends how near you are to the county records office.

Can anyone tell me how to search before the 1841 census, I have tried on Ancestry, the Pallotts lists, but my family members are not on this.
Any ideas?
Thanks Angela.
