i have one rellie who was sentenced to death for theft (according to the original trial) but she ended up being transported to Australia instead. |

Thank you both. I did get the details of the trail from both the times newspaper and the Old Bailey site but just wondered if the death of the murderer would be entered anywhere else. Many thanks Irene |

There was an attempted murder on one of my ancestors and it states that the person was given the death sentence. I found someone fitting the same name being shipped to Australia. I just wanted to check it out please. I am talking about the year 1848. |
