If you have a lot of rellies in that area, you may want to buy a book produced by Stephen Humphrey, the local archivist called Bermondsey and Rotherhithe remembered. You can buy it direct from Stephen or from amazon. |

Thanks so far everyone - how do I nudge to the top? Thomas Owen Judge was born in 1859 in Rotherhithe London - that should narrow it down a little bit!!!!! You are right Sally very addictive |

I dont really understand - you searched by a name and it came up with a street? Can you explain what you did and what information you already have so that we can all have a look for you? |

That's the problem with fairly standard names I guess. You end up trawling through a lot that aren't who you want. Thank goodness for the less common names in our tree, otherwise I'd have been stumped quite a few times. |

Sorry Gillian, I've only ever searched using people's names, but I'm sure that if you keep this nudged near the top someone will come along who can help. |

I am a very newbie and have searched the 1861 census for Thomas Judge - it came up with 3 Albion Street - but showed a completely different street and no Thomas Judge in it. How can I search for the street instead of the name? Appreciate any help as just getting started really. |
