If you run a marriage search on FreeBMD using the man's name and already know the woman's forename, 9 times out of 10 you should be able to identify your ancestor's wife. |

Free BMD is an excellent site and worth looking at, I find it easy to use too. |

If you can find the births of any children, mother's maiden names will be on their birth certificates. |

Im new to all this and would appreciate any tips. I have traced the males in my family but find the females hard due to maiden names. Thanks |
