You only need to order once.......put in the name of which you are certain, and leave out the other..........

Thanks Reggie. Thought that was the most likely as the two surnames can hardly be transcribed.

Oh well, another 2x£7 then.

The woman had probably been married previously........but you'd need to obtain the cert to clarify it.

Checking out a relative's date of marriage on the microfilmed ancestry indexes, it shows the surname of this person he married as ' Jones or Golding'. What does this mean? How come its one or the other?
