Joseph Golding, age 0, West Ham. 1st quarter 1925. (4a 108)

Great grandmother Dorothy Bean nee Abbott (1858-1908)

Hello Jane, thank you. I've looked on Ancestry, but his death isn't there - or at least, I can't find it! His name was Joseph Golding, born 31st Jan, 1925 and died 24th Feb 1925, both in West Ham.
There probably was a post mortem (am a bit reluctant to say why on the boards, lol) but would like to obtain a death certificate.
Thank you again - that'd be great if you could find the death; you know what I mean! lol

Margaret - I hadn't thought of that! Thank you, too. Mind you, I have his DOB and DOD, so I'm not sure what to do.

Have you checked to see if the death was registered before the birth? Evidently a death had to be registered immediately but a birth was allowed a certain length of time before it had to be registered. I have seen cases where the death was registered first.

It will be registered. It just may not be when you think it was. There may have been a postmortom which may have delayed registration.

Hello, I found out that I had another Uncle, but he died aged about a month. His birth, in 1925, is on BMD, but his death isn't. Was this normal for a death so young, and at that time? If, by the way, I don't answer to any replies immediately, it's because I'm doing bits around the house in-between! So I'm not ignoring folks. See you later.
