What other records can I try pre1837. My ggggrandfather was born c. 1776. His wife was born 1776. I can find nothing in parish records relating to baptisms, marriages or burials. I have also tried the IGI. Don't know where else to look. Please can someone help before I go insane. |

Have you searched the actual parish records or have you been looking on line? Were they both born in the same parish? Marriages usually took place in the wife's parish. |

You could try Pallot's Marriage Index (on Ancestry). It doesn't cover all areas, though. |

Have you tried Scottish records? Lots of Mortons there. |
