How do I find out the detail on a birth certificate. Sorry but I am new to this and want basic advice on what to do.

Angela, you need to buy the cert.....will cost you about £7. I usuaully get mine from the local register office...local to where the birth was registered.
Some offices have facilitiies for certs to be bought online, otherwise by post.
Give details of registration district if you want more help.
