You haven't said whether you wish to trace the ancestry of this family...........if so, you do need the marriage cert.

Thanks for your message. Yes there where 13 children in total. The ones I have found or heard my father speak of were Albert, George, Lawrence, Jack, Lois, Miriam, Elsie, Minnie, Annie John possibly William & May, not sure if Jack was nick name.

You can look for Joseph and Mary on 1881 yourself....it is free to all on www.familysearch.org

But......to be certain you trace the right lines, you need to obtain the marriage cert, in order to learn the names and occupations of their fathers
