how about more info from the marriage cert? fathers' names and occupatoins, address at time of marriage. Was Mary's maiden name MAWDESLEY?

Where is the daughter?

I have been searching for some time now for a family in the 1871 census, but no luck to date. I have found the wife and children in the 1881 census and she is recorded as "married general labourers wife", but he must have been away working at the time of the census.

The info for the 1871 census is:-

JOHN (abt. 1844) a carter on his marriage cert in 1868

MARY ROBERTS (1851)

their daugher MARY ELLEN (1869)

They would have been living in Liverpool

Because he has such a common name, I have been unable to find him on any census and he died in 1884.

If there are any super sluths out there with a little time to spare, you will go to the top of my christmas card list.
