hi,
looking at Richard Larcombe,born 1811, living Marylebone.
nearly everyone seems to just have F or M with a tick for occupation.
only 1 occupation on the 2 pages "merchant" - do we think the "poor" people weren't worth the effort?
Or am I misreading the M+tick, does it mean something?

Although a bit squashed, I think it should read M S or F S

as in male or female servant.

just thought of that,Gwyn, thanks, ALL of them in the road??

In 1851 He is "servant out of place"

Now, just not at home,at workplace....
or as in "know your place"???the mind boggles!
