1851 Welsh census
Richard Lee at Chidlow, apart from inside outside I can't read his occupation, can anyone help me?.

The marriage cert for his daughter Susannah says Farmer for fathers occupation.

I tried to find 1861 and 1871 census reports but can't find him.

Also one childs name is transcribed as China, I read it as Clive, am I right.

Thanks to anyone who helps me.

Hi Vera

I think it may be Farmer of 117 acres employing 3?
Number is hard to see because of the tick.

Can't tell with the child's name - could be Clive, but does it say Dau in the relationship column

I believe it's "farmer of 11 acres, employing 3 men, 2 in and 1 out doors".
Also agree son's name is Clive.
Second thought, no, she's a daughter.

Thanks for the replies, I have looked again at the census and can now read inside and outside labourers, Farmer 11 then I think it may be /another occupation [looks a bit like Tesco cooperative, obviously not]

Re name could be Olive as she is a girl, but I didn't think that name was around then.

Thanks again
