the GRO is the best place for certs .cost £7 with the GRO ref.
Some local register offices will supply certs same cost BUT you need to have details of the church in the case of marriages

i always get the details needed quarter, area, volume and page from ancestry then order from link on there to gro.

If you have the GRO reference numbers (from Ancestry or Findmypast etc.) then order online from the GRO at this address:-

does anyone know the best site/place to obtain marriage certifictaes from?
