You need http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk which is a pay per view site.

Look at the deaths for Catherine Allan born 1918 +/- 2 years died 1947 other name MCINTYRE.
You should then be able to view her death registration which will show you both her parent's names.

You will need to buy credit £6 for 30, it's 1 credit for a search & a further 5 to view a record

We've just discovered that my hub's mother's name was Catherine McIntyre not McDonald, plus different date of death, now April 47.
She was born in Dunfermline, Fife 1918 m Robert Allan (don't know marriage details), had son Henry Dow Allan 1946. We only found out with kind help.

Does anyone know how we can find out anything else about her please? Crossing my fingers. Thank you
