Hi Karen, you could try the search feature on friends reunited for local schools in a certain area. You don't need to be a member to search. |

In the 1950s, scholars from Uxbridge who passed the 11+ often chose to go to Wembley County Secondary Grammar School, which was only a short walk from Alperton tube station on the Picadilly line. This school opened in the 1920s. The Metropolitan Line also ran from Uxbridge thru Harrow to Wembley Park (just N of the stadium) and beyond. Wembley County was replaced by Alperton |
