Hi, I´ve just come on line now.

Margaret a big THANK YOU for telling me how do the £ sign. I have stuck how to do it up on the screen.

And thank you Ivy also for another way to do it.

And thanks to Betty Boo who took the trouble to PM me about it.

YOU ARE GREAT!

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for all your replies, I didn't expect any answers to the Euro € question as I had managed to copy and paste it as I said.

I just had an e-mail from someone in Belguim who thought the UK should use the Euro instead of the £ so he didn't have to change his money when he came over to the UK. Do you think the UK will change to the € Euro eventually?

€ = alt+2 on an Apple Mac, no shift key required.

Hi Chica,

A work around is to go into Word and use their menu commands

Insert
Symbol

- lots to choose from there. Once you have one you want, it often then quicker to just copy and paste from any docs you've used it in.

You don't need to copy and paste. Alternatively, ust hold down the Alt Gr shift key, and press 4
