When you have found the code for a certificate you fancy buying you can order it online from here.

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

Knowing the code means you can get it at a reduced rate but there are some higher rate options if you aren't in full possession of the facts.

The records are done in quarters .......

March, June, September and December

For example:- March includes January, February and March

.... and you won't get any more detail than that unless you buy the certificate


And I agree .... do NOT pay any extra to buy credits to look at records on here.


www.freebmd.org.uk is free to use, has records from September 1837 (when records began) to about 1920 or 1925, and are being updated all the time as volunteers add the information.

I am new to Genes Reunited and am a bit confussed. When i search a birth in records in comes up with a list, showing the quarter, from and to. What does all this mean? How do i know which one i want to view?

Can anyone help me!!!!!
