As it is a submitted record, the microfilm is only going to contain the info provided by the submitter, it will not have a copy of any original documents such as parish records.

Don't dismiss all submitted records as being inaccurate out of hand. Many are extremely accurate and are a valuable source of information, and we should be grateful to the submitter for providing it.

What is important to recognise though is that the likelihood of errors occurring increases with submitted records when viewed against extracts from the parish registers.

As with all genealogical information, you should try and verify against other records.

Hi all
I've come across a submitted record on the IGI, and I know these are not to be trusted as far as the info goes, however the info does appear to tie in with what I know already. The question is, under source info, they have a hyperlinked film No. Is this the one you have to quote and get ordered from one of the LDS centres so you can view the said info, or is it something else.
