You should be able to get a copy of the coroners report from that date as i dont think that forms part of the 100 year rule, obviously depends on what your relationship to the deceased is

i worked in a solicitors dealing with miner's claims and we used to obtain them for that purpose, we didnt need any permission from family members etc as we just used to write them a letter and they would charge between £25-£50 for the report

hi there,
I tried to get a report from 1843 and they said at that time that they filed a lot of reports in the bin. But you might also be caught out in the 100 year closure unless you are a very close blood relative. Data protection. You would have to check tht up, also try the local papers as it could have been in there.
