James snr lists his occupation as carman........and he is a 'worker', so is employed by someone.

The son James is a shop assistant, but there is nothing on the census to suggest that the property is anything other than a private residence.

Maria & James Thurgood lived at 1 Austin Road, Battersea, They ran a shop from the downstairs premises, I just wondered if I could find out what it was called & what they sold. I'd be really grateful for any info
