If sombody got married on a ship in round about 1894 is there any way you could find the record? The ship was sailing from America to the UK. |

Was marriage at sea permitted? Certainly, the GRO have indexes of births and deaths at sea, but not one for marriages. |

It would almost certainly be recorded in the ship's log - if that has survived. |

Hello Linzi-My grandmother was married on board ship of the coast of Western Australia in1891-I got a copy of the certificate from Perth WA so the marriage must have been registered by poss.the captain when the ship docked -as your ship was coming to UK could the marriage have been registered here-Heather |
