Thanks for the information Kim, I don't think it's boring at all.

Some causes of death on 19th century death certificates must baffle even medics.

Not really a question ..just if you get this on a death cert ,,,
the above relates to Syphilis final stages ... have just received a cert giving this as cause of death 1891 in a lunatic asylum ,Please note , there are upteen mental; illnesses including Parkinsons and post natal depression that will show on a death certificate as the above ... My rellie was an inmate of the infamous Colney Hatch Lunatic asylum in 1891... she died there having given birth to her seventh child I am now going to the National Archives to find the records for her ,, the 100 year rule does not apply ...
