Did you know that if you are on pre-payment meters and you are in reciept of any benefits, or over 70, you can get cheaper gas/electric. (i'm not sure if it applies if you pay by DD) but worth asking.
This is called the "Essential Tariff " I found this out today, as i've been considering changing suppliers.
If you think you qualify, just call British Gas and ask for the number for "Essential Tariff"
If you want the number. please PM me and i'll send it to you.
The lady i spoke to said there are a huge number who aren't aware of this scheme and who are eligible.
If you are with British gas or know someone who is, let them know about it.

Betty,

The essential tariff is a lower rate at which you pay for your gas/elecricity supply.
