Why not give them to Grimsby Family History Soc
I am sure they would be happy to have them and put them on thier web site to see if anyone claims them

They have a Mystery photo page on the web site

contact is [email protected]

Megs Dicky Island Report 11 Mar 2008 01:19

I have found a book of old photos, I think they might have belonged to my grandads third wife. The name in book says Joyce Collins ( she was actually Harper when she died in 1990) and an address in Grimsby. I have found what I believe to be an old photo of her with the surname Devan. I have looked up birth records in Grimsby and found Joyce E Devan mmn Simpson, Grimsby Q1 1928. She has photos of lots of different people who are not related, I assume they all friends.
Behind one of the photos(easter 1957) is a cutting from a newspaper in 1988 a funeral of a Jean Mary Warner nee Russell giving details of family. Another one is of a Mary Ingham and a Bernard Huntley, came up with a match sent a message but no reply.

Don't really know what to do with them, as I didn't know alot about her, whether she had children or not. Any suggestions as what to do with them.

Thanks
Jen
