How do I find out who he married?

I've tried looking for births from 1911 but the mothers maiden name isn't there. I guess I'll have to buy the cert to find out. |

If they had children and if I remember correctly the Mother's maiden name is recorded on Free BMD from about 1911 so you might get lucky! |

That's not necessarily the woman he married. If the whole page hasn't been transcribed yet, there could be one bride missing (and another groom). |

I've found a marriage for Herbert Edward L Garrett in Sept Qtr 1907 but there is only 1 lady's name. How can I find out whether he married her or who the other one could be? |
