How do I transfer information?

Thanks Sam, I have got permission from the person and it is the correct tree. I have all the same information handwritten in folders but some of the extended families aren't yet on the handwritten form (some of the children and the death dates). I thought it would be easier if I was able to add it to my tree then eventually add it to the handwritten one. |

The only way to transfer data from other people's trees to your own is to retype each person unless the owner of the tree is prepared to send you a GEDCOM file containing the info. You then need some seperate family tree software which will allow you to merge it with your tree. |
