2nd cousins

Well, I am all woman, all twenty ton of me, so dont know where the 'half' part comes in. I dont believe in doing things by halves!

Huia, it all sounds a bit too much so I think I'll accept that we are 2nd cousins and not think about the 'half' too much.

I am in touch through GR with my half second cousin once removed. His grandmother was the half sister of my gt grandfather. Their children were therefore half cousins and the grandchildren half second cousins (he and my mother). I am the once removed, being a generation later.

thanks for replying. I agree 2nd half cousin doesn't sound right but we are related in some small way.

Personally, I would say so, but there might be a "half" in there somewhere. I think second half cousin sounds a bit daft though.

If someone has the same great grandmother but different great grandfather would they still be 2nd cousins?
