Must admit that the Ancestry WW1 pensions and service records , although not completed yet are fantastic .I have already found addys for next of kin ... an entry that "older brother William serving on HMS Hawk" ..an illegitimate child I would never have known about in 1916..and one who died under an alias ..
as the 1911 census is still out of reach , these records if you do find a rellie are invaluable .I would rather pay a years sub to Ancestry tham ever buy credits that run out ..
Kim .

Hi. i just read the e mail about this ...and was debating wether to buy credits or not.I think it will be 'not', from reading this. I was hoping it would tell me more than the CWWG site...... obviously not........ bit naughty of GR .... the e mail makes it sound as though there is loads of info there to see !

I think we should bombard GR with complaints about this one. The email they sent out is very misleading.

Is this on GR Col?
I would not advise people to waste money on GR index's, Ancestry is far better value in the long run.

Who were you looking for? I will see if I can find him on Ancestry for you.

They are Death Registrations not Records..i have £ 5 worth of credits which are useless.
