One of my relations is listed on the 1901 census as a Medical Practitioner - are there any online records that would give details of his registration. |

This person is listed as a Medical Practitioner which is the term I'm not sure about. Is this the equivalent of todays GP? He would have qualified in London. |

'Medical Practioner' just means doctor - it doesn't imply any particular branch of medicine. The GMC archives will have details of his registration or try the Medical Directory. |
