His service records will still be with the Army. Only next of kin can apply for them, and it costs £30, although it's free for the man himself or his widow (looking at the dates, not likely they will still be around though!) |

Hi Ally , have to admit that when you said he joined in 1916 I thought there was a chance that Ancestry may have had some Army records .Did do a search on National Archives medal cards and came up with the following three .. |
