You can trick the Ancestrys where you don't subscribe, sometimes.

In this case, it won't tell you where Rose was born if you don't know.

But if you search for Rose S Turk born in England, it will say "England" if you're right.

I tried it. It doesn't. ;)

Mind you -- I tried birthplace Virginia too, and she also wasn't born there.

If she were married, you could trick it into telling you her husband's name by searching for a Turk in Danville, Virginia, with wife Rose. She seems to be without spouse or parent, though.

It works also for finding kids -- search for surname Turk in Danville with mother Rose. No results there, either.

If you just search for Turk in Danville (county), Virginia, you can see the handful of other Turks there who might be related to her. Most born in Virginia, some not. None born in England, apparently.

Now of course the best solution is if someone with access to US Ancestry tells you the actual answer! So I'll nudge your thread up here. But sometimes it's possible to figure stuff out with tricks like that.

I knew you'd show up and ride to the rescue!

And I knew all those Turks were related one way or another. ;)
