Death in India

Why did I start this? Report 3 Mar 2008 17:40

My husbands Scottish grandfather was a mine manager in India. He returned to Scotland and died in 1979.
My husband thinks that his wife died in India. Any relatives I could ask are now dead.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can find out about her. I have checked records here and cannot find her.
In the dim and distant past I remember my mother in law saying that a relative had been murdered in India. Was it her? Wish I had taken more notice now !!

Hi Elaine

Have you tried ScotlandsPeople (selecting Minor Returns as the County)?
