Hi, for years I was looking for my 3xgt grandparents, Ancestry never had the census yrs for Scotland on then. Looked on Free bmd & could'nt find them on 1841 census. So assumed they were both dead by 1841. Then found them whilst searching for someone else, been mis-transcribed , the name I was looking for was Kerr, mis-transcribed as Ken. Still no further back on them though but gives a clue as to when they died. So yes, keep on searching. Glad you found yours. |
