A fellow Eld cousin of mine has sent these Christenings through to me but is unsure about how we can find anything more out about birth dates/parents and I don't know either. Has anyone a few pointers to sat me going so I can chase these entries up

The family history in India site has quite a few Eld entries with more detail about the people you are interested in.

Lionel Percy Denham's career is on LDS film 845177 - 78 - 79 page 127

Marriage was 19/09/1839 and the entry reads as follows: -

In Fort William, Lieut. Percy Eld, 9th N.I., assistant to the political agent, Munnipore, to Charlotte Isabella, fourth daughter of Colin Campbell, Esq., member of the Bengal Medical Board.

Have a look at the site www.fibis.org - it makes fascinating reading.
