I have only ever used postal applications so I don't know...sorry! You could always ring the appropriate Registry Office....if you need the phone number let me know!!

Thanks for the info David...I was hoping that some of my husband's family may be there...sadly not sheesh!!

I could say something about other record offices including Cheshire but like you I would probably be banned lol !!

Be thankful your husband doesn't have ancestors from the area. It is a completely confusing situation. So many families inter married so many times that he would have been connected in some way or other to nearly everyone who lived there in the 18th century!!

Select Shropshire from the counties list and, fingers crossed, you'll find something useful
