is there anyone there who can help. Looking for an Oscar Wood died 1914 in a pit accident in tankersley. Know how he died but he was 24 and single and need to find father. He was buried in Scholes and i need to find a link in scholes as he lived in High green and would have made more sense to be buried there. Can anyone help.

1914, 30th May, Wharncliffe-Silkstone (Tankersley, Barnsley) Colliery, 11 persons killed and 4 injured. Explosion, firedamp, ignition caused by faulty electrical equipment on coal cutting machine

Yes that is the pit accident he died in. I have a photo on the internet of Oscar Wood and also a newspaper article. It doesn't mention his dad, although i think Frank is right, I just need to find out now where frank came from and possibly his father, as I think that is where my link comes. Thanks alot.
