I have subs for The Genealogist site and found them there. MarrIage is on FreeBMD.Ican look further back for David's parents etc if you want me to.

It's another subscription site. They have BMD records and all cenuses but not 1881 as yet. The 1881 census is free on www.familysearch.org

Well done for subscribing. I find the site better than Ancestry for some records.
I can't find John or Mary in 1861 as yet.
Have a look for John and Mary's wedding on FreeBMD while waiting to get on The Genealogist site. There are a couple that may be what you're looking for around 1850 - 66
