Is anyone a member of this site and would you recommend joining?
I was told about the site today and wondered whether it was useful for those who can't visit and can you access records online.
Thanks
Di
I am aware there is a subscription which I don't mind paying if it's said to be worthwhile.

Society of Genealogists is actually really a place in London that I visit regularly. It has a huge library and a large collection of parish records etc. They also have talks etc . Members have free access otherwise you pay for the number of hours you want to spend there.

Online is their catalogue and they do lend a restricted number of items to members.

So basically it is a place to visit when you are in London - it is not an online site.

Jan Thank you. The person who suggested it didn't say it was a place to visit so glad I didn't subscribe.
