Jane, thanks very much for your help. I think this means I'll have another certificate to buy so I can be sure it's the right marriage and then see what I think regarding children! It's not so easy without the mothers maiden name is it?

ok. i see what you mean on one i found fo my great uncle there is the spouse surname but no forename. on another it says:

Simons Deadman
Beadman simones

lol. but i know it to be the correct couple. annoying huh. well keep trying you never know what might turn up in the end.

I've tried that but there's nothing coming up. Knowing my luck it's the one that I need that's missing!

If you don't want to order the certificate what i try to do it fins any possible births for the couple. sometimes there are obvious naming trends in a family so it is relatively easy to find a possible with one of the surnames on the page. and also after 1912 they'd have mmn on the birth indexes.

atleast thats what i try if after 1901.

I have found a marriage for Mary Ann Larkin W.Derby Sep 1906 but there are 5 people on this entry. How can I find out who she married?
