This proves my Scottish link as Ann Stewart's grandfather was from Selkirk originally as Durham PRs gave his place of origin on his sons baptism record in 1800. With a name like Stewart, I knew there was Scottish in the blood.

Remember back in March 2006 I posted a thread saying "Big Big Birth Cert Dilemma" as I sent off for the birth cert of what I thought was my ancestor George Musgrave and it gave his parents as "Robert and Jane Musgrave formerly Ramage" yet George was bought up by Robert's brother Thomas Musgrave and his wife Ann Musgrave formely Stewart, who I believed were his bioligical parents, and it turns out they were.

I recieved the death cert of a George Musgrave in the Mar Quarter 1860 in Auckland reg district and the death was that of the George Musgrave " 1st January aged 3 , son of Robert Musgrave, registered 12th Jan" born to Robert and Jane and that I had the wrong cert and the wrong end of a very, very, very long stick.

There was two George Musgrave's born at the same time in early 1856 and one was registered and one not, one died and one didnt. They were cousins and I had the wrong birth cert and that was of my ancestors namesake cousin.

That shows never to take anything for granted in FH.

Hooray. A mystey solved.
