Many thanks,

You could try www.oldukphotos.com, don't know if they would have any.
Or try googling the name of the church.

Parish Registers is an excellent site....

Select 'Picture Gallery' from the left hand side menu and then 'East End Churches'

Try http://www.geograph.org.uk/
It's well worth a look, even if you don't find your objective, you're quite likely to find something of interest,

mgnv,

Had a look on the website that you mentioned. I didn't find the church that I was looking for however, there were many other photos that I am interested in.
It is indeed "well worth a look".

Many thanks.
Vera.

Hi Vera,
Same as Von, I couldn't find either, but did find All Saints in Blurton Rd Hackney and All Souls in Overbury Street, Hackney.
If you google both those there is a bit of information.
Haven't found any photos yet though...Good luck x

I think there is an East London family history site on line - and I'm sure there are links from there to other sites.

Found this link : http://www.eolfhs.org.uk/ I'm sure that if there are no photos they have some sort of contact point and might be able to help.

Often if you know the name of the church you are looking for, they have there own website, try putting the name into your browser, eg St Botoloph's Bishopsgate has it's own site & a photo too.

Many thanks to all who have placed their advice, ideas and thoughts on this thread.

I have tried everything, but to no avail, not a glimpse of All Saints or All Souls in Hackney!!

What I did find was the email address of the Reverend of All Saints Church. I am going to contact him.........................he must have a photo of the church or will certainly know where I can find one.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Vera.
