Ancestry, help!! I successfully put my tree on there, very simple to do. But I havent kept it updated and now have an extra 399 ancestors I need to put on. I've created a gedcom from this site but if I upload it to Ancestry it creates a whole new tree, instead of just replacing the tree thats there. Is there anyway I can just re-write the tree without adding an extra tree to my Ancestry account? Reason being, I invited quite a few people to view it and with a new tree I'd need to invite them again and I dont want to get on everyones nerves with the emails! |

Can you merge data on your own family history software? If so it could be quicker to download your tree from Ancestry, update it, then upload it again. Am pretty sure you can delete unwanted trees on Ancestry as well. Would nip in and have a look but the site is at a standstill right now. |
