Hi

Yes that is Janet and her children, some of the names listed are mistakes from the original census forms and belong to a different family.

Thanks again Angela

If the place of birth is correct, could this be Janet and maybe a sibling?

Janet is a diminutive of Jane ...

Don't know what evidence you have but could it be down as Cocheran (or varients) on census? Cocoran, cochran, cochrane etc.

The names certainly sound Scots but then Newcastle's not a million miles from the border.

I am looking for a relative of mine, in 1878 aged 18 Janet Locheran bn Newcastle married George Jackson Iin Middlesbrough on her marriage certificate her father is listed as Lewis Locheran (shoemaker), I cannot find a census search for either Janet or Lewis Locheran. A kind member found a listing in 1861 for a Janet Loughrey bn Newcastle but her father is listed as William (shoemaker), his wife Mary and various other siblings all bn Scotland. I have tried to search 1851 in UK and Scotland census but cannot trace any members of this family, please can anyone help.
