Hi Jane,
Hope you can help me? A while ago I found my grandparents marriage record so that I could order a copy of the certificate. Now I want to order it I think I have written it down wrong and cant seem to find it again!

dear jane could you help me find frederick gardner born 1879 somerset (catcott) what i am trying to find is a link to canada we think he went in 1910 on his own and left his we think wife here in the uk somerset think her name is nell or nellie ? going by a old postcard sent to his sister lottic befor he left post marked edington somerset april 26 1910 as it read he was off the next friady and not to say anythink to nellie but had the backing of his or her farther to go i know its not much to go on but i just dont know were to start on this one any info would be grateful jane g

unfortunately i don't have access to Canadian passenger lists, or census records, so it might be worth you looking for Canadian sites to see if Frederick was there in their census'

Hello Jane.
I wonder if you could help me I'm looking for James Mcgowan all I know is that my great
grandparents james and Mary (nee wood) gave birth to a boy called george alma in 1874y I think Mary died as george was adopted later that year. My family has always believed that there was a scotish connection I'm not sure maybe Irish If I could find marrage details it would give me birth dates I have tried with no results
maybe you will have more luck it would be really good if you can. Thank you in antisipation. Pat

I have Jane Ackers bc 1823 Whiston Lancashire, I believe she married James Critchley in Dec 1841 and they went on to have 5 children.
Is it possible to find Jane and her family before her marriage?

cant find where they were in 1901.also have no info on parents. any help would be appreciated

might be a bit early but it was the Schofield name that hit me, as George was living with a couple of Schofields in 1891 !!!!

can i ask where you got Mary Wood from? was it from a certificate?

Is it possible to do an address search on the 1901 census?
Thomas Bancroft b1871 lived in wellington street, branch 4, Burton in 1901.
I want to know who else lived in the "branch" numbers of wellington street.
It's a small street off the main wellington street. I have been told that many of my relatives lived in that row of houses.

Could you tell me if it is possible to find out if George and Mary Elisa had other children other than my dad George Alma Mcgowan the second born 1910 the stories go that there were two children before my dad if that is the case we have no names so Im sure the answer will be no.
