Hi,again,Sally, Don't think it was him after all. Just found a Charles Johnson on the 1881 and all though age is 2/3 yrs out [nothing unusual there!],the place of birth and occupation is the same and he's still unmarried. Typical!!! Thank you for trying though

Hi,Sally, This is probably a far too difficult search but I am trying to find a Charles Johnson in Norfolk, who in later years was a butcher. He was in Gt Yarmouth in 1854. I don't even have an age for him,but would imagine him to be between 16 and 40 in 1851. Sorry I can't be more specific! I would much appreciate it if you could help, but will totally understand if this is too complex a search. Many thanks

Hi Sally, I believe that Robert Moreton's parents were Edward and Mary but by 1851 he was married to Ann. The spelling of the name does seem to be interchangeable between Moreton and Morton although I have found others including one record of Monton. Thanks for looking Sarah

Hi Sally Thanks for looking. This doesn't seem to be the right person unfortunately, mine is definitely a Samuel Slater (with one t). They later moved to Yorkshire, but I am fairly certain they were still in Norfolk in 1851 as their son John Alfred was born in Norfolk in 1854. Never mind, I'm sure he will pop up somewhere if I keep looking! Thank you for your help! Jane

Hi Sally I was wondering if you had some time whether you could look up a Samuel Slater, born in Suffield, Norfolk around 1831. I believe he married Margaret ??? born in Hanworth, Norfolk and had a son called John Alfred in 1854. Not sure if they were married by 1851 or if John Alfred is their first-born or not. Any help would be much appreciated. Happy new year. Thanks Jane
