Hi Sue, I don't know anything about searching the census for 1871 but just thought I would give you some details and when you get time see if you could come up with anything for me as I seem to be stuck on all sides of my family tree. I have a George Homewood married to a Harriet Alice (formerly Wood). They were married in the Parish of Camberwell in 1869 although in the 1881 census are living in Deptford The first child I have by them is Annie born in Newington, Surrey in 1873. Would you be able to check for the name Homewood in Newington and Camberwell. Because I am stuck there is just the chance that they were living with her parents which would help me with her family or that they had a child before the first one I have recorded. Georgina

Hi all. Thanks for all the enquiries. As there is no index it might take me a while to find anything for some of you. I'm only able to access the emails and website at work, although the census discs are at home so I can't pick any new enquiries up everyday, but I promise I will do them as soon as I can. Best wishes Sue
