Thanks a lot - thats a great help. As Herefords now available any chance of finding out who was living in Townsend House, Dilwyn, Hereford. I know Rev. Thomas Kirkwood Bowyer was there in the 1830's and the 1881 census shows him living in Kent. A few possibles for Townsend House : Julia Beard, Elizabeth Sharp, Anne Barnett, Emma Barnett (or any other Barnett) Fisher or Hale. Christian name might vary from Ann or Emma as I've found with my lot they often used a middle name. Thanks Mary

Hi Tracy Thanks for the offer, can you please see if you can trace Thomas Randall on 1871 census. On 1881 census he was married to Elizabeth Jane Wheeler age shows as 27 (born about 1853/54) Occupation was a ag Labourer. Living in Marston Mortaine, bedfordshire and shows as born in marston beds. IGI marriage shows as wed on 17 march 1876 in marston, beds and he was aged 22 (birth again being 1853/54) Bmd shows a birth in ampthill (bedford reg distr in june 1853-may be him!) Are you able to confirm anything from 1871 census of his parents and his birth details. I cant find anything earlier than his marriage or earlier family. Thanks again for the offer of help! Tracey
