There are about three Townsend Houses in Herefordshire and the one I'm after is in Dilwyn, not Leominster,and according to the council there who identified the house as being the one I'm after Rev. Thomas Kirwood Bowyer lived there around the 1930's (I got left some drawings of the house by my grandma that were dated around then,hence the interest. I know they were given to her by her older sister Annie but don't know where she got them from, I can only think that either she or one of her other sisters were in service there) Is there a Townsend House in Dilwyn on the records ? If not can you find Rev. Kirwood Bowyer ? That might lead me to something or someone. Thanks Oh, it does say on one of the letter I had that it was No.516, known as Townsend House. Cheers Tracy - love to know what all that stuff means from Parish and Probate records ! Well, it gives me a bit of history about Rev. Bowyear.I think I really need the 1831-41 census to find out who else was living there at the time the drawings were done. They were done by Julia Beard and Elizabeth Sharp but I've not been able to trace them so far. Thanks for your help Mary

Hi Tracy,could you possibly look up on Herefordshire Census for Alice Bickerstaff born about 1871 in Ware? I am looking for the following family: DRAPER, William, age about 43, b Yarpole, Herefordshire, carpenter DRAPER, Anne, age about 36, b Ashford Carbonal, Shropshire, wife DRAPER, William, age about 16, b Ashford Carbonal, Shrposhire, ?carpenter, son DRAPER, Edwin, age about 8, b Richards Castle, Shropshire, son DRAPER, Fanny, age about 5, b Richards Castle, Shropshire, daughter DRAPER, Mary, age about 2, b Richards Castle, Shropshire, daughter DRAPER, Anne, age about 1 or less!, daughter This is all taken from the 1881 census. But later information has all the children born in Herefordshire. In 1881 the family were living at Cottage Rag Hole, Brimfield and I'm pretty sure they were there before that as another daughter was born there in 1875. Hi Tracy, Please could you look up the family of Susan Kimbrey, b1853 in Abingdon, Berkshire, should be living in Berks with her family. Her father was Thomas Kimbrey, and her mother was Maria. She was supposedly one of 17, so bearing in mind that some may have already left home, it'd be nice to see how many siblings she really had! Thanks very much Nicola
