Hi Sarah I am looking for John HART aNd Sarah WELLHAM who were possibly in Poplar area in 1851. In 1853 they had a son Robert who moved to Lowestoft. I feel John may have connection with the Sea/River Thames. Many thanks Maggie Carr-Bowey

Hi Sarah - re. BERRY - Sorry - I didn't realise there would be so many. My husband's grandparents Serjeant and Harriet Berry moved from Suffolk where they appear in the 1851 Census, to London some time between 1851 and 1854. Once in London they have appeared in 1861 Census onwards, in the reg. district of Poplar. I was wondering if they moved to this area because other members of Serjeant's family had gone there before them. Names could be Miles Berry or Matthew Berry. Thanks....Doreen.
